How Domaise handles the data of its customers and the domain registration data shown in its search tool.

1. Who we are

Domaise is operated by Domaise LLC, a United States limited liability company ("Domaise", "we"). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at any time through the contact page.

2. Data about our customers

When you use Domaise we process:

  • Account data: name, email, agency or company, country, phone number if you choose to give it, and your password (stored in protected form only).
  • Usage data: the searches you run, your filters, your results history, your credit balance and the WHOIS records you open.
  • Order data: your plan, your monthly payments, amounts, invoice details and tax number if you give one. Card payments are handled by Stripe: we never see or store your card number.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and security logs. At sign-up we keep a one-way code made from your IP address (not the address itself) to allow one free trial per internet connection.

3. Domain registration (WHOIS) data

Domaise is a search tool for recently registered domain names. The domain names, dates and registration records shown come from public sources: domain registries and registrars (through the public WHOIS and RDAP services) and third-party domain data providers. Domaise does not create or edit this information.

Customers see domain names, dates and extensions and, when they click the WHOIS button, the public registration record of the domain as published by the registry, including the contact details it contains (name, organization, email, phone, address, city, region, country) when they are public. Masked or privacy-protected details are not shown.

Lists and exports with contact details are available only with the Agency offer, under a separate written agreement. Every customer is bound by our Terms of Use and is responsible for how they use the contact details they see.

If you own a domain shown on Domaise and do not want its registration record to be shown, send a request through the contact page with the domain name. We block the domain: its record and contacts are no longer shown, and we stop looking it up.

4. Why we use data, and on what basis

  • To create your account, run your searches and deliver the service you bought: performance of our contract with you.
  • To process payments, keep invoices and meet tax and accounting rules: legal obligation.
  • To show public domain registration records in our search tool, prevent abuse, keep the service secure and improve it: our legitimate interests, balanced with the rights of the people concerned.
  • To send service emails (receipts, password resets, account messages): performance of our contract. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

5. Who we share data with

We use service providers that process data for us, under contracts that protect it:

  • Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting), in the United States.
  • Stripe (card payments).
  • Loops (service emails).
  • WhoisXML API and the domain registries and registrars (domain registration data).

We do not sell or rent our customers' account data. We may share data when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.

6. International transfers

Domaise is run from several countries and our providers store data in the United States. When data leaves your country, we rely on the safeguards offered by our providers, such as standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep data

  • Account and search history: while your account is open. When you delete it, they are deleted.
  • Domain registration records we looked up: at most 12 months after they were fetched, then deleted automatically.
  • Logs of WHOIS records opened: 90 days.
  • Orders and invoices: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
  • Contact messages: up to 2 years.

8. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy of it. Residents of some US states, such as California, can also ask to know what we hold about them, to delete it and to opt out of any sale or sharing. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

You can edit your profile and delete your account from your account page. For any other request, use the contact page. We may ask you to confirm your identity. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

9. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls, a second login factor for administrators and encrypted storage of service keys. No system is perfectly secure, but we act quickly on any problem and inform the people concerned when the law requires it.

10. Children

Domaise is a business service. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in and to secure the service. We do not use advertising cookies.

12. Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and tell you by email or in the app when the changes are important.

13. Contact

For any question or request about your data, use the contact page.
